Comments:
New baby and approaching winter storm kept my home from the normal trip up to
the W0AIH M/M. In reading some of the comments of the snow up that way, glad I
made the choice to stay put!
The home station has a G5RV up about 30 feet maybe. Glad to hear any DX. Some
big EU signals on 15 Saturday, didn't hear a peep out of EU there on Sunday.
Bands overall Sunday here seemed alot worse.
40 and 80 seemed to be in great shape. I actually worked, with the G5RV,
several EU on 40 and 80. Great ears to the EU stations I worked the with about
75 watts on 80.
Nice opening to EU both evenings on 40, worked most stations I heard with no
fills. Also, nice to add several JA stations on 40 Sunday morning as well as
KH2.
Back active a bit more in March. Will be at W0AIH in ARRL SSB, hoping to do a
serious effort from somewhere in WI QSO party and forming up a M/2 for WPX SSB.
73,
Ryan KB9OWD
