Comments:
Our first real Multi-Unlimited entry in the PACC. Last year we entered this
class with only 4 transceivers, this year we had 6 transceivers and quite a few
more operators.
Since this was our first real Multi-Unlimited entry we were bound to run into
some problems and sure enough we did. It turned out that the storm we had the
weekend before the PACC had misaligned our 6L 15 meter yagi. It turned out it
was roughly 60 degrees off. A similar thing had happened to our rotating tower
containing the 40 meter yagi. It took us some time before we discovered and
corrected these problems. We also had a problem with the 20 meter stack match
switch. This happened during the opening to NA which certainly cost us many
Q's.
Despite of these problems we sure had a blast. We had a multi national team
with Dutch en Belgian operators which made it all the more interesting.
All thing considered we had a great contest. Could we have done better? Sure,
we could. Could we have had more fun, I doubt it.
We will use the "lessons learned" in 2011 in the 2012 edition of the PACC and
aim for first place.
Congratulations to the PI4CC crew, based on the claimed scores they seem to
have taken the first place this year.
Thanks every body for the great contest!
