Comments:
Decided to use packet thus the M/O category. It was a good reminder of what I
couldn't hear, hah! Band opened later on Sat morning and had a 1.5 hr opening.
Then Sunday the band opened earlier but initially seemed not as long time-wise
and weaker. Last two hours or so sounded like the old 10m :-) Couldn't figure
out if it was the Colorado QSO party or the Texas QSO party, hah!
All that VHF contesting is helpful for this contest. Have to be in the chair
for the openings (when they happen) and make the most of them. Very close to 6m
contesting.
Sunday was a good day to be inside on the radio with all the snow outside and
DUH BEARS losing big time...won $20 off the XYL...thanks New England.
My signals extended to: ZL, CE/LU, ZS, and EA.
No Japan or eastern EU.
Fun contest when the band is open.
Happy Holidays,
Eric K9GY
