Comments:

We happen to be sleep training our 3 month old baby this weekend, so since I was
already going to stay up all night, I figured I'd see how many Q's I could rack
up on 160m (and it was one of those oh-so-rare instances when the XYL didn't
really have any complaints). Well, I certainly didn't set any records, but I
think I got about as much out of my setup as I could. I'm using a resonant 80m
inverted L with 2 elevated radials. I tune it up on 160m with an SGC autotuner
at its base. The losses must be astronomical since I'm using the full set of
tiny coils in that tuner in order to match the antenna (it requires 68uH). So,
like every other contest I enter, this one leaves me wishing for more property
for a proper antenna farm and scheming crazy ways to squeeze more and better
antennas onto my tiny suburban lot. That said, it was a ton of fun to hear all
you guys taking up every last inch of bandwidth on top band. My rate was low,
but my happiness was high. Did I mention that I love this hobby? Thanks for
the Q's and see you on 10m! -Chadd KK7S
