Comments:
Two thirds the score of last year due to the disturbed ionosphere. 20 meters
was broken most of the contest. Worked a sum total of 4 European stations, all
on twenty meters: two in zone 14 and two in zone 15; two CT and two OH. Didn't
work any zone 16 at all and worked UP2L for my only zone 17 contact. Made up
the QSO difference by working lots of one pointers. 407 Qs were from zones 3
and 4, more than half! Ended up with about the same number of contacts as last
year but the prefix total was down by 90 and the points per Q was a record low
1.91 (since the zero point rule change in 1999).
Still a fun weekend and good SO2R practice. Even got to run a little bit
during the daylight hours when there weren't very many new S&P contacts to be
found. Thanks for the contacts and your patience.
