Comments:
I arrived at my Lake Don Pedro house some time after dark Friday night. I hadn't
been up there since the CA storms and found my wire antennas in disarray. My
dipole was completely destroyed and half of my 80 M loop was near the ground. I
was able to get my antennas back up on Saturday, but the loop seemed to work
better on 160 than before I fixed it. It could have been the conditions, as
I've seen others report on better conditions on Friday night. I had fun in this
contest, although it can be a bit frustrating when a plus 20DB station can't
here you. I'm pretty sure its because they're listening for EU. Every once in a
while a 6 that could be heard would call, then a station that couldn't hear me
previously, would pick up my call. Thanks to all of you for picking out my weak
signal.
