I had a huge pleasure to operate 4O3A magnificent hilltop station. Working only
Scandinavia with 5 towers and all the automation was a bit like trying to kill
mouse with nuclear bomb but surely a lot of fun anyhow.
Even completely without 10 meters I have a chance to beat the record set by
Mats 2 years ago, let's see:) At least QSO record if nothing else:)
We were trying hard to get sth going on 10 meters with many guys but the
closest we ever got was OZ5E reporting hearing me sporadically. I did not hear
anyone except 5B4AIF on 10m.
Was very nice to have 15m finally opening up for last 2-3 hours of the contest
to get those needed QSOs made.
80m was very difficult before midnight, high noise level and very hard to pull
guys through. By the morning things got easier and we worked most of the QSYs.
Greatest signals I remember on all bands were OH2BH, 7S2W (well done Mats!:),
OH8X, OH8L.
