Comments:
We could not get SO2R to work using the Micro-Keyer and Win-Test. Hours were
spent without success. So SO1R operation. George just informed me however that
Bob N6TV may have solved the problem....THANKS BOB !!
I tried jumping from 20 to 40 and back to 20 to keep the rate up, and it worked
up to a point. Then I simply couldn't keep the rate up without the advantages of
sweeping and doing F7 CQs.
The 3-el 80 yagi has SWR problems below 3580 so had to use the 4-square
antennas without the ability of transmitting in two directions, and I never
felt loud. I'm sure I was loud in Europe though. Couplets were hard to come by,
and I was getting beat out when calling others.
Nevertheless, a fun time and happy to help out the team effort here in "HOT"
Texas.
