Comments:
Spent a bit of time in and out of the shack, working the AA as I had time. I
figured I would spend a little time and try to work this one a bit, since I
have very few contacts with Asia, other than Japan. Now I think I understand
why -- with much of the continent 9 hours or more behind sidereal time, there's
just very few hours in common for which propagation conditions can exist.
Did not work a whole lot of stations, but did work China and Thailand, which I
had never done from the home station. Conditions were really terrible much of
the time, and the bands seemed horribly empty. I remember back in the early 80s
that every available phone frequency on 40 and 20 meters would be occupied on a
Saturday morning, but not any more.
