Comments:
A rough start from my new shack and with several new antennas... but there's
nothing like a contest to help you find the problems quickly. Eventually found
the source of the RF in everything (loose coax connector).
New England was my black hole... only logged NH, RI, NY and NJ. I also missed
out on MD, WV, WY, and HI. I did manage to find a lighthouse activation in Nova
Scotia.
15 is typically a good band for me... nothing heard at all. Only heard one weak
signal on 160... a band I really wanted to work with the inverted L.
Thank god we weren't chasing DX because conditions weren't all that hot.
Rig: TS-940s Antennas: Phased verticals on 20, Buckmaster OCF Wire, Hustler
6BTV, Force 12 Sigma 5, Inverted L tuned with SGC 230. N1MM Logger.
