Comments:
This week, I went out before dinner to put up the temporary vertical (Hy-Gain
AV-14AVQ) in the backyard in an attempt to improve things on 20M. It seemed to
work much better than the 43 ft. vertical, although I probably spent too much
time there once again for the number of QSOs I generated. Of course, this was
my first real SO2R effort, so I was laboring quite a bit at the beginning just
keeping everything going. Working two radios makes 30 minutes feel like an
hour or two in front of the radio! I definitely need more practice, but I'm off
to India for business shortly, so I'll miss the next NS. See you all in June,
and thanks again for the QSOs!
Rig #1: TS-940S
Rig #2: TS-430S (not being able to turn off the sidetone adds to the SO2R fun)
Antenna #1: 43 foot vertical
Antenna #2: 14AVQ
