Comments:
This was my very first 160 meter contest. In fact aside from 4 contacts in the
previous month to pick up mults in SS and CQ WW CW, these are my first 160
meter contacts, QRP or otherwise.
I didn't know what to expect with QRP and a very poor antenna, but obviously
there are a lot of great ears (and Beverages) out there. I only had a few
hours to operate since I was traveling until Saturday evening, but I wanted to
get on and see what I could do. Thanks to everybody for pulling my 5 watts out
of the noise. The activity seemed to be good. I'll be back!
Station: Yaesu FT-897D at 5 watts output; 80 meter inv vee with ladder line and
MFJ tuner, N3FJP software
73,
Randy, ND0C
