Comments:
Now I see the necessity of a receiving antenna. The inverted L works OK on
transmit but I couldn't hear real well. I guess it's a summer project waiting
to be done. The QRN here is normally above S-9 which means that I work only the
stronger stations. Sunday was the only day I joined the contest and the QRN was
around S-6 so I was able to work a lot more stations than I would normally
hear. This could be one of my favorite contests if and when I get around to
building a decent RX antenna. The QTH is only a couple of hundred feet away
from the PUD right of way with twin 500kv power lines. I wonder if a RX antenna
would even work in this environment. Anyway, thanks for picking out my puny
signal. Will try the SP later this month.73 to all and may your Christmas be
very blessed.
