The DUH! factor here continues.
Tonight I discovered why I had no rig control or Confuzer keying at home
station last night. I was trying to make things work on non-existent Radio 1
including my DX Doubler in the food chai. In place of Radio 1 is the TS-480
Control Head for the remote TXRX, which I umh, 'forgot'. I should have been
working with Radio 2 port settings. DUH!
Apologies once again to all who were on the receiving end of my auto-runaway
keying at times tonight that sounded like I ramped up the WPM. I went to the
remote site this morning expecting to find a fried Confuzer, but it had simply
experienced a mysterious lock-up problem that couldn't be resolved remotely.
After discussions on the post NS 75m Net tonight, it appears a solution to my
keying problems may be a WinKey widget for the remote rig vs. trying to
continue keyomg through a USB to multiple serial port hub.
What a challenge tonight when NO3M & NO5W called me both zero beat with each
other and the same signal strength...I think it took 4 repeat requests to get
it all sorted out.
How anyone can be 'bored' in life is beyond me.
73 & Tnx for the Q's that were made...
Rick, K6VVA * The Locust
