Comments:
Too many QSO parties in one weekend; once the NEQP started I was working 4 at
once which diluted the effort searching for mobiles. I felt like a one-armed
paper hanger. 20 was poor the whole weekend, but good enough to work mobiles
WC5D and W3DYA in TX thru the day and evening; unfortunately they really seemed
to be begging for contacts most of the time. Condx on 40 and 80 were good, but
80 seasonally noisy. Many thanks to Jeff W9MSE (39 Q's from rare KY counties!),
Norm W3DYA (helped a lot by switching bands), and WC5D for trudging thru the
grueling entire 2 days. And thanks to Ed KN4Y, Kent KL1V (not competing), K1EP
(working NEQP), and W9ELI (working InQP) for a lot of QSO's. I was tired enough
chasing the mobiles; is there any sentiment for a one-day contest on Sunday?
This was my best score by far; hopefully 20 will return to it's former glory by
next May.
