Elecraft K3 + verticals
I just got back from a 4-week high tempo underway op period, so I had a
ton of chores this weekend, but I wanted to break in the new K3 I just received
and built. Due to the lack of rain, salty insulators made the bands very noisy
here, and the K3 was worth it's weight in gold. I probably put about 14 hours
in between loads of laundry and other honey-do's
Conditions seemed quite poor except for a few hours late in the first day.
Things were brutal all day Sunday here. I spent a lot of time chasing DX low
in the band to make up for the lack of callers.
Thanks for all the QSOs - especially to the VE3 boys who came out in
droves!
