Comments:

Pretty tough for rovers out there, things were awfully quiet from down in the
swamps of eastern NC. Started to liven up at the Bay Bridge Tunnel and north,
but it sure would have been nice to have just a teeny bit of enhancement. This
was the maiden voyage of the reconstructed Intergalactic Roving Battle Jitney,
and for a shakedown it went pretty well. Running an all-Elecraft low band
station (K2 driving stack of XV transverters into TE amps), and original plan
was for a second K2 with KRC2 band decoder and a DEMI 28-144 running
microwaves. Ran into problems with the DEMI and had to substitute a backup
IC-706 and used the K2 as an expensive bandswitch (which worked great!). Now to
install the crank-up pole on the microwave rotor for August/Sept ..
