Comments:
Man, I was SO psyched to try out SO2R for the first time. I thought everything
was set (radio 2 is a TS-520S with a 40 M vertical,amazingly little problem from
the 80 M vertical about 20 feet away). No computer keying for radio 2 (couldn't
get it working from LPT, although I think it DID work last week) and 5 min
before the contest my keyer for it seemed to be on the fritz. DAMN, no radio 2
tonight.
Contest was fun, I think half of my QSOs were Todd and Tor! Got beat in LOTS of
pile-ups, nice activity. But 20 M was good guys, where were you!! Maybe everyone
was trying to work one of the VU4 stations.
This sure is fun, can't wait till next week (with a second radio, FOR SURE).
Oh yeah, once the contest was over I re-checked my keyer and it was now working,
radio 2 WOULD have been OK after all!! I guess that's why we do this 12
times.
