Comments:
Thanks a million to Joe, NK7U, for letting me use his amazing station. Normally
they do a M/2 from up there, but nobody was able to make it due to Easter. It
sure is a completely different experience from up there compared to operating
from southern CA. Last year from W6KP I had 3400 q's, this year I was down
about 1300 q's.
We had a decent opening into EU both mornings on 20m as expected, but it looks
like the boys in WA got the better end of it. I listened to KW7Y for a while,
and he was working lots of EU I couldnt hear. I worked 20 EU on 15m late sunday
morning. About half of them were skew path to the east, the other half were
direct path EA and CT. JA was almost non-existent on all bands. No JA on 15m
(I had to leave early to catch my flight, so I missed the Sunday afternoon
opening.) I worked about 60 JA's on 20m. I only worked about 30 JA's on 40m.
We are still trying to figure out why I wasnt able to hear JA very good on 40m.
Joe is gonna put up a new antenna in that direction and hopefully cure that
problem. I only had 119 JA qso's this year, compared to 1300 JA's last year.
Ok, that should be enough excuses for this contest :)

KL2A for keeping me company the whole contest.
