Wow, what weird conditions. And how far one has to go these days
just to keep up! New contest stations like N1UR's "traded up" QTH and
W1MU's killer spot in coastal Maine meant that, after having come in 3rd
in 2003 and 2nd in 2004, the best I can hope for in 2005 is 6th. Ouch!
All credit, though, to W4PA, about whom I can't cry "New England
advantage" this time. Great job Scott -- go back to High Power where
you belong :>) !
Most amusing moment: looking at my 40m beam the afternoon before the
contest and noticing it was freewheeling. Made for some real guesswork!
Thanks for all the Qs and I look forward to seeing everyone next year from
HB9, where I will be living as of August. 73 de Maury W3EF / G0UHK.
