Comments:
Operated from the mobile (stationary) with an FT-100 and Hamstick antennas at
about 50 watts.
Mostly NS propagation from here. Very few Europeans but the limited Hamstick
antenna may have contributed to that. Too many stations wanted to either leave
off the /W4 in my call or just use /4 neither of which is correct. At first I
thought it was just the difficult copy but after awhile realized that this was
more to do with operator error. Of course my call as VE3XD means I'm at home in
Ontario, VE3XD/4 means I'm in Manitoba. VE3XD/W4 means I'm in Florida, or at
least in the southeast U.S. The portable designation really does mean
something.
Good fun for a few hours and great to be able to give a few points.
