Comments:

No DX the first night. The flares made this a really tough one. One highlight
was when a flare hit around 2015Z on the first day. The band went dead, but I
turned straighr north and worked:

along with some others from other places. (I may have missed a few.) I think I
only had one European in the log at this point.

I had about 10 or 15 Europeans call me on Sunday, but that was the extent of
Europe. I worked 6 total JAs and no other Asia.

Then the wierd part was the last three hours when I could hear almost nothing on
the band, not even band noise except I worked JA7OWD at 2244 and he was the only
JA I could hear. Also ZF2AH was 20 db over S9! I was only able to make 12 QSOs
in the last three hours of the contest!

Man! Next year will really be bleak! As you can see from my rate sheets, I
couldn't stand it in the afternoons and took a few hours off. I worked a little
less than 31 hours total.

Congratulations to Jay, N4OX. He stopped by on Saturday evening I believe and
was ahead of me about 300 QSOs which was about the final difference. Maybe the
rate sheets will show where the difference was. Oh well, I won four in a row,
it was about time for a "whuppin."

I hardly ever hunted mults except first couple of hours in the morning so I
don't know why I ended up with more mults. I thought the right coast would kill
me into Europe, but I guess it was close to equal.

Wow! 90% in NA:

See you next year. By the way Jay (N4OX) now that I have been taken down a
notch, I will be building more antennas for the return match next year! :-)
