Antenna: Force 12 C3-S at 12m, 40m INV-VEE at 12m
Strange conditions but a fun contest. Hearing (and working) WB9Z at 59 on 20m at
11:30 local time was bizarre. On the other hand 20m closed very early at night
into Europe.
Too much work before the contest meant that I slept too much and was pushing up
the ZZZs instead of working 40m.
Little JA activity on CW but a super run of 150+ JAs on 15m SSB made up for it.
Great signals and even some of the QRPers were 59.
It was frustrating to hear 9V1YC working many EU stations that I could hardly
hear :-)
Also missed many easier Mults. I worked Khun Champ, E21EIC on a few bands but
missed HS0AC altogether! Only worked VR2HK on one band etc....
Sadly I am at a customer site during the IOTA contest (I will be in VK2 - any
multi-ops need an extra operator?) and will miss the contest. One of my
favourite contests as well and one I haven't missed for a few years.
