great event. after almost one year without paticipating in any major contest due
to heavy workload I was glad to get the chance to operate from ve2csi club
station in cq zone 2 this year. And, yes, I was in itu zone 9 though many ops
were obviously confused and wanted to put me in zone 4 or change my call in
ve1/. however, conditions were ok and the night yielded nice eu-runs on 20m
phone. almost entirely skipped 80m cw as the in-vee there is tuned for 75m.
as always there were many more mults to work than one can find in my log. only a
few stations from af and as made it in the log and I recognized afterwards that
I missed the VE zones 3 and 2.
finally, portable contest callsigns are a mess especially if you are lp but I
guess I won the the longest-call-sign-in-contest trophy...
