Comments:
Decided CW Low power would be more fun than Mixed mode. I think I was right,
SSB would have been (more) annoying this weekend.
Basically, crappy condx. Challenging for sure.
Never heard Europe or Africa. Heard JA7NVF scatter to VK in the last hour and a
half, but he couldn't hear me. Meanwhile he was running W6's like crazy.
Band shut down about 3 minutes after sunset! Crazy. Even the ZL's were super
weak all weekend. I think the TH7 at 100 feet is a bit too high for stateside
on 10, but it worked well on the scatter Q's. Only had about 30 minutes of W9's
being louder than s2. Now THAT was a rate fest! Too bad it ended shortly and
it was back to working the east coast and all of florida. Usually those SMC
types are the loudest on the band. Even TX was weak this year. It was all
about 4 land.
Some pretty cool E's at night. W4AN was in for hours.
Missed AK, ID, WY, IA, MN, NE, ND, NF, LAB, MB, SK, NWT, YT. Usually 0 land is
not hard at all, but the band was just too long, and never heard those mults on
scatter.
I didn't even quit this one!
Taking bribes now for the KL7 mult on all bands in January NAQP CW.
