Comments:
I started the contest with the idea of making 500+ QSO's for 500k points, but
this clearly wasn't going to happen!
What happened to the bands on Saturday? Very little about, and it was real hard
work to find a QSO. Went for tea & TV early evening, and got back in the shack
about 2100UTC, and things seemeed to have improved a little, as I did manage to
work a few W call areas.
Saw, but missed T88 and also KH6ND on 20m. Went to bed about 2300, and was back
in the shack by 0550, but the bands weren't in good shape, and it was very slow
going.
It was interesting to see that many EU stations were also giving out low serial
numbers, but those nearer the equator seemed unaffected, and had much higher
numbers.
The continents were about in force, and it was great to work DP1POL in the
contest! A pity you can't count 7 continents!
CQ'ing was hard work, and gained me very little most of the time. At one point,
I was on 14.083, and an MFSK station just started up right on top of me, just as
my run was starting to pick up.
As you will see, I made a few QSO's on 80m! Thanks to those guys who picked me
out, as I was only running about 20 watts!
Thanks to all, and see yo uin the next one!
