Wonderful contest thanks to the last minute help from Juan Carlos TG9AJR who had
only a matter of hours to work with the local authorities to get permission for
me to operate from Guatemala. Gerry TG9IGI was my fantastic host and his lovely
wife Aida kept me alive with her warm care and concern. Local power line noise
killed me on low bands but the higher bands gave me the QSOs to overcome that
handicap. Of course the USA ops provided the rapid fire pileups and proper
tailending to make the contest much fun for this grateful operator.
