Comments:

15m was the only place there was true action. This was partially due to the
inability of my yagi on 20m to receive! Getting the station together the
afternoon before the contest is not a good idea! The 20m beam had the right VSWR
but acted like a dummy load on receive. The old "remains of a TH6" had to take
over for this contest.

The SSB category was not a great place to make an easy score. The 4th multiplier
occured at QSO 339! Half way through at QSO 510 I had only 6. I was having grave
misgivings about the scoring system about then!

A few stat's from this part of the Commonwealth:
Worked 288 U.K. QSO's including 50 M*3 licensees.
Worked 29 Canadian QSO's and 43 other Commonwealth.
223 of the QSO's gave serial #1 including 10 of the 42 mults.

Compared with the number of Band-Call areas worked in the BERU, the multiplier
was pretty meagre, about half what I would expect. The Mixed and CW-only seemed
to have more potential.

It was great to work so many U.K. stations, specially the M3's who were very
much in evidence. I hope we will hear even more from them in subsequent
events.
