I haven't done an assisted operation in 9 years, thought it would be fun to
give the record a run. I was a bit rusty on my CT mastery of packet use, to say
the least. And those bogus packet spots flooding the network didn't help much.
Back to regular SOAB for me, hi.
As previously stated, propagation on 10M Saturday morning was awesome. I got
there early and staked out 28793 for a nice run of 900 Qs in 5 hours, mostly
EU. But cndx Saturday night were tough. I had hoped to have a nice EU run down
on 70xx (the biggest benefit of being in Canada for SSB, being able to run
below 7100, hi). Forget it. Conditions were terrible. Even had a hard time
stirring up many W's to run. Good time to sleep 2 hours.
Thanks to John, VE3EJ, for inviting me to use his fine station. It sure does
play well. Not much waiting in pileups.
73,
Jeff, N5TJ
