Comments:
First time ever in IARU. DX contests are just for fun with 100
watts and dipoles. I guess the highlight for me was at 1am
Sunday morning.
I was falling asleep and was about to pull the plug and noticed
TR said I
had 93,500 points. I decided to go for 100,000 and implemented
the CQ strategy since I was tired of 3 pointers and had worked
all the "big guns". This strategy resulted in a mini-run of 13
Q's, 11 which were 5 pointers
to Europe. I'm not sure if that put me over the 100K, but it
gave me enough
energy to exceed 100K with a little room to spare.
