Boy, did we enjoy the 6m opening Saturday ! Most of the op's were no-code
tech's and this was their first experience with hf style operating and band
conditions. A real thrill for a lot of the gang. The cw op's did yeoman's
duty especially on 20 and 40 meters. Conditions were fine on 10 and
15meters at the beginning, but died out soon and all the activitey was on
20 and 40 after mid-afternoon Saturday.
T-storms rolled thru Sunday morning and drenched us all and killed the
bands. We had to shut down operations for about an hour and a half, but it
didn't dampen our spirits. We feel like we won! What an operation.
A great picnic and food all weekend by the XYL's. KB0ZEI even brought out a
cake with our club motto on it, "Let's play radio". We did, and it was
great!
I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations for
amateur radio in my country. My report is correct and true to the
best of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of the
ARRL Awards Committee.
