Well, I gave my new $30 call a try. Turned on a radio at work, have a
tribander in the middle of the power lines, etc. Confirmed that I picked
a terrible phone call. Had $30 of fun anyway, so I broke even.
Worked 113 x 47 = 10,622 in the middle of 13 hours of paperwork.
High points:
Hearing VY1JA needed Delaware, going to his freq, yelling
"Delaware! Delaware! Delaware!" and working him.
Working fellow charter N.E.R.D. NY3C using our new club call, W3TT.
Having the phone ring all Sunday at work, even though we have never
been open then.
If you gotta do phone, for some reason, SS is fun. At least from DE.
CU next week on CQWW CW! Go FRC!!! Go N.E.R.D.S.!!
Bob N9GG ex-WN3K Frankford Radio Club, still Number One in Universe!!
